I Have the RIght Perspective Now! Do You?!

Last night, I was watching Pastor Joel Osteen's message, "Have the Right Perspective," and it got me to thinking about how I look at the daily things I do that sometimes seem so routine. So, this morning I say, "Thank God for a sink full of dishes for it means that me and my children didn't go hungry." #IGotANewAttitude

Happy LOVE Day!

The "Greatest Love of All" is the assurance that God loves us -- flaws and all. God's Word (NIV) says in John 3:16, "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." Listen on as the late and great songbird Whitney Houston sings this truth http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WEmSjyR4iQo. Happy LOVE Day from The Huff Household (Feona Sharhran Huff, Clara Huff and Timothy Huff).

As I Mourn Whitney Houston's Death, It's a Blessing to Know That She LOVED Bobbi Kristina More Than Life Itself

As a solo mommy, my heart beats for the now deceased Whitney Houston (who actually passed on Saturday, February 11, 2012). As a solo mommy herself of a beautiful teenage daughter, there is no doubt that she loved Bobbi Kristina and desired the best for her. Even through the rocky roads in the public eye and I’m sure the behind-closed-doors struggles and shedding of lots of tears as well as her ongoing battle with drug use, Whitney NEVER stopped loving or providing for her princess (who is now 18). Was her walk perfect? NO! But whose is?! NO ONES! The things Whitney did with her remaining years on this earth can only be judged by God Almighty all by himself. Yet, what can never be disputed is her God-anointed and powerhouse voice as well as how she touched our hearts and souls, inspired us and wholeheartedly loved her only child with former New Edition member Bobby Brown. Please pray for Whitney’s soul and especially Bobbi Kristina, who is now motherless.

Chesapeake, VA's City Council is Set to Hear Why the Library is Important to This SOLO Mommy

I was just asked by the branch manager at my local library to speak at Chesapeake, VA's City Council meeting tomorrow night regarding the importance of the library, the savvy resources and programs it offers and why I can't go without it. Sasha said she asked me because she knows that I totally utilize the library along with my children, I'm positive and would be able to eloquently relay the message. She is even going to pick me up to take me and bring me back home. I am honored that she asked me and appreciative of the services that the library offers. In fact, I just booked the Meeting Room for the launch of my "Movie & a Conversation" series for March 31st and May 15th.
