Me-Time is Essential to Your Balance

The truth of the matter is that as a single mom, I've got to do everything. While "everything" rests solely on me, I've come to understand that I must take time out to tend to me. Otherwise, I won't be any good to my children. Now, sometimes I'm not always able to leave the house. However, creating Me-Time space by drawing a candle-lit bath with pleasant melodies playing is a way ease my mind, body, and soul -- even if only for 30 minutes. And, that's the key... making myself take at least that amount of time just for me. I look forward to my half-hour mental getaways because after I take that time to focus on me, I feel rejuvenated, revitalized, charged, and ready to take on all the duties that come with raising my son and daughter solo. What I've also come to realize is that by allotting time just for me, it's teaching my children that it's important that they do that for themselves to.
